REFLECTOBOTS
This is a Game Jam entry in which I created the most polished mini-game I could in a week in my free time.
Challenges:
- I used Finite State Machines in Unreal Engine 4 to efficiently develop the core combat mechanics, focusing on simplicity and a minimal button scheme.
- I designed menus that are compatible with both keyboard and gamepad input, which required creative problem-solving.
- For the AI, I developed a wave system inspired by Doom 2016, where new waves spawn before all previous enemies are defeated to maintain combat intensity.
- This was also my first time using Unreal Engine’s Sequencer tool, which was a valuable experience
